A 6-night Kafue safari staying at 2 different camps

This safari allows you to experience your choice of 2 camps in separate regions of the Southern and central Kafue National Park in Zambia. Beginning in Livingstone and ending in Lusaka (or vice versa), the Classic Kafue Safari offers the often of visiting Nanzhila Plains Camp or Nanzhila Lake Camp for 3 nights followed by 3 nights at Kaingu Safari Lodge. The combination of the two gives you both land and water based activities and a myriad of different wildlife and birding species to discover – it really is the best of both worlds!

Option 1: 3 nights at Nanzhila Plains Camp in the Southern Kafue

As mentioned, this safari can EITHER start from Livingstone or Lusaka - the starting point will dictate which camp is first on the itinerary. Whichever is first, we will collect you from your point of departure and transfer you into camp. A portion of the drive will be through the national park which means you get to enjoy a game drive before arriving and settling into your rooms.

Option 2: 3 nights on the Kafue River at Kaingu Safari Lodge

After breakfast, we will leave camp to meet the team from Kaingu. Kaingu River Lodge is magnificently situated in the riparian woodland on the banks of the Kafue River with stunning views. African finfoot, hippo and a wide variety of birdlife are on constant display and river based boat cruises and canoeing is a must on this portion of the Kafue River. Kaingu also conducts game drives in a stunning section of the Kafue National Park.
