DAY 1 - 4: 3 NIGHTS

3 nights in the Southern Kafue at Nanzhila Plains Camp

Nanzhila Plains Camp Your safari starts in the remote southern sector of Kafue. After arriving in Livingstone, you are transferred by road to Nanzhila Plains. This area is characterized by open dambos and dense woodland, offering a private safari experience far from the more frequented northern routes.

Activities: Morning and afternoon game drives, night drives, and guided bush walks.

Highlights: The region is noted for lion and sightings of rare antelope such as roan and sable. Night drives here frequently reveal smaller predators and nocturnal species including serval, civet, and honey badgers.

DAY 4 - 7: 3 NIGHTS

3 nights near Lake Itezhi-tezhi staying at Nanzhila Lake Camp

On day four, you head north to the shores of Lake Itezhi-Tezhi to stay at Nanzhila Lake Camp for 3 nights. The camp overlooks the Musa Riverbed, where the receding waters during the dry season attract large concentrations of wildlife.

Activities: Game drives along the shoreline and seasonal boating or fishing on the lake.

Highlights: This sector is known for high densities of "mega-herbivores," specifically large herds of elephant and buffalo. The open terrain also provides excellent visibility for spotting lion, leopard, and occasionally wild dog.

3 nights in the Busanga Plains at Kasonso Busanga Camp

Kasonso Busanga Camp The final leg of the journey takes you to the northern tip of the park. The Busanga Plains are a seasonal wetland famous for vast horizons and some of the best predator viewing in Southern Africa.

Activities: Game drives across the floodplains and birding excursions.

Highlights: Busanga is home to the endemic red lechwe and is world-renowned for its lion prides. The open grasslands make it easy to observe predator-prey interactions and a wide variety of birdlife, including wattled cranes.
